Overall responsible for both hotels IT operation, Data security, Software and hardware maintenance as per both hotels IT policy in Gran Canaria
•Maintains, inspects and repairs IT related equipment on timely manner.
•Ensures that computer and network operations are monitored at the property, data backup/recovery functions are performed on scheduled basis as per IT internal audit policies.
•Manages IT systems to ensure the property infrastructure and applications systems are functional at all times and maintains proper inventories and manages IT hardware/software.
•Co-ordinates the installation and implementation of new business systems with outside software and hardware vendors
•Liaises with appropriate support organizations relating to system problems
•Maintains contact with all system vendors to be aware of new systems on the market and general market trends and participates in the negotiations for service and maintenance agreements for installed systems
•Maintains user accounts with level of authorization as per company standard and Performs periodic training of key users
•Maintains sufficient safety copies of systems software, application and data to be stored on site or off site in fireproof safe
•Secures physical access to computer rooms and other relevant areas in accordance with company policies
•Keeps current all systems documentation, training manuals, and operational procedures
•Determines specific business system requirements by working with all users of computers in the hotel
•Brings needs for major repair, and or investment to the attention of the Financial Controller and General Manager.
